Literature is capable of transporting us to magical and real worlds, making us dream, reflect and learn. That is why the Municipality of São José de Ribamar, through the Municipal Department of Education -SEMED, took the noble and inspiring initiative of acquiring and delivering 10 Girotecas to strengthen its Municipal Network.
Girotecas are equipment that encourage culture and reading in schools. These are Mobile, Versatile, Technological and Inclusive Libraries, made up of 40 tablets, a collection of children's and youth literature, Brazilian classics and literature from Maranhão, in addition to a technological table with four notebooks, four computers, a printer and a TV.
É impossível mensurar o impacto que essa ação terá na vida de tantas crianças, adolescentes e jovens que terão acesso a um acervo literário riquíssimo e à tecnologia de ponta para enriquecer ainda mais seu aprendizado. É uma oportunidade única de despertar o amor pela leitura e incentivar a busca pelo conhecimento.
It is not just the students who will benefit, but the entire population of Ribamar will be able to enjoy the Girotecas, which will be a true cultural oasis. It is a way of transforming lives and even inspiring future writers and intellectuals.
